I am a daughter, sister, niece, granddaughter, friend and advocate. Prenatal, Birth and Postpartum Doula work is important as it builds a safe, comfortable, even peaceful environment for the birthing person and their partner/family. When such a space is created, there are less incidents of medical issues to arise that could prevent a safe and positive experience for the birthing person.

Learning about Doulas, in health class, when I was 14 years old had intrigued me. They played vital roles in the birth and postpartum experience. I came  full circle back into this calling when a failed dream of being a Gynecologist/Obstetrician became far and out of reach. Going through my certification process through Doula Trainings International (DTI) and being on this path feels more like my calling. With every birth I support and attend I feel in my heart that this is what I'm meant to do with each day that passes, I am sure of this more than ever. I know, personally, I will want to invest in a Doula when I begin a family in the future.

To the birthing/postpartum person reading this,I hope to be your Doula and create the experience you want for your birth and or postpartum care and to help support you through this beautiful process, bottom line, "You are fierce and you got this, always".
